Calrissian Win, 6-4, in 10
|
The Irvine Gang Green got a superb performance from pitcher Pat Dobson, but the Orlando Calrissian still won the game, 6-4. Dobson threw 5.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Orlando reliever Woodrow Brown picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Salvador Rodríguez was saddled with the loss. The 5th-place Calrissian are now 23-30, the Gang Green 27-25.
Orlando used the clutch hitting of Lee Gray to snag the win. The shortstop drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Calrissian ahead, 6-4. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
"Sweet win for us, tough loss for them," said Gray.
