Accuro on a Rampage, Hits for Cycle
|
The Dallas Steers were too much for the Greenville 84's, winning, 3-2, despite the batting heroics of Greenville center fielder Héctor Accuro.
In a losing effort, Accuro had a monster game, hitting for the cycle. He collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats with 2 runs batted in.
After the game, Accuro said he was "unfazed" by the outcome.
"Look, it's baseball," he said. "Best case scenario, you're still going to lose 40 percent of the time. You can't let it get to you."
Héctor Accuro tripled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Dan Valéncia in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
So far this year, Accuro is hitting .298 with 14 home runs.
