Sheens Suffer 7-2 Home Defeat
London starter Richard Fitzgerald pitched well against the St. Charles Sheens at Crown Royal Stadium. The left-hander led his team to a win, 7-2. The Rippers go to 21-33 with the win.

Joaquín Gómez had a big 3-run home run for the Rippers in the top of the fourth inning. With London leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from Dan Daley and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 8th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Rippers ahead, 6-0.

"I went out and just tried to do my job," said Fitzgerald.
