The Seattle Admirals picked up a win at The Ship Yard, topping the Phoenix Firebirds, 10-4. On the mound for Seattle was right-hander Daniel Barnes. He played a principal role in the triumph. Barnes, now 7-3, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 1, and allowing 3 runs. The Admirals have now won 4 straight.
Salvador Alou hit a bases-clearing triple off Adrián Cruz in the bottom of the third, which put the Admirals in front, 3-1. Alou had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.
