Seals Topple Green Sox, 7-3, as Rivera Shines
|
In the 7-3 San Francisco win over Lubbock, the impact of Anastasio Rivera was substantial. Rivera, who is tied for 5th in the BSA with a .429 on-base percentage, was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. The losing streak for Lubbock has now reached 4 games.
With San Francisco leading 4-1 in the top of the sixth, Rivera hit a fastball from Bob Johnson for a 3-run home run. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Seals ahead, 7-1.
"Winning is hard sometimes," said Seals manager Kenny Stevens. "This one was nice to get."
