Behind a fine performance from Anthony Tucker, the Maui Wave knocked off the Dallas Steers, 7-6. Tucker went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Wave. The win was credited to Curtis Ouellet in relief. His record improves to 1-2. Steven Jacoby took the loss. James Horton recorded his 15th save for Maui.

Homer Laslett was 1-2 with a triple, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Maui. The 27-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Gabriel Garza. It was his 29th RBI of the season.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager José Betancourt.

The win elevated the Wave to 32-27.
