Steers Dealt 5-1 Loss by Charleston
|
The Charleston RubberDucks beat the Dallas Steers, 5-1, at Charleston Ballpark. Charleston center fielder Domingo Sánchez had an outstanding performance. He was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Charleston is now 34-27, while Dallas is 35-25.
With Charleston leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Sánchez hit a changeup from Jeremy Stinson for a 3-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the RubberDucks ahead, 4-0.
Sánchez told a Charleston Daily News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
