The Irvine Gang Green beat the Dallas Steers, 5-1. Irvine pitcher and Valle de la Pascua, Venezuela, native Jorge Cossutta led the way. Irvine is now 31-30.

Irvine took a 2-1 lead on Paul Metcalf's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Metcalf hit in the top of the eighth, left Dallas pitcher Marc Harris visibly frustrated.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Metcalf, "and then get after it again."
