Johnny Quick Notches 300th Save
Johnny Quick has joined elite company. The Sausalito Meatballs reliever earned his 300th save in a 5-3 victory over the Kansas City Kings at Kings Ball Park. The newest member of the 300 club told reporters after the game, "I get the ball and I try to win the game. When I get a save, my team wins and really that's all that matters. I'm happy to reach the milestone, but it's just that. The more important part is that I've helped my club win." While picking up the save, Quick allowed no hits and no runs in 0.2 innings of work.

Despite the dejection of their team having lost the game, even a number of Kings fans were seen honoring Quick as they joined in the standing ovation as he recorded the final out on his historic save. "That was pretty special," he said. "Something I won't soon forget."

During his career, Quick has 300 saves with a 46-57 record and a 2.83 ERA.
