Hits Galore: Osayande Drills 5 Hits
It was a sensational day at the plate for Calgary Cowboys first baseman Peto Osayande, but a tough one for the team, as the Cowboys dropped the contest 11-9 to the Del Mar Racers.

Even with the loss, Osayande was pure misery for the Del Mar pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked after going 5-for-5 in an explosive display of hitting.

"It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win," said Osayande, who is the 22-year old first baseman .

"Osayande really hit the ball hard and when you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage," Racers manager Ron Bartlett told BNN reporters after the game. "I feel like we threw him some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."

Peto Osayande hit a solo-shot off António Romero in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off António Romero in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

This season Osayande has hit at a .277 clip and produced 91 runs batted in, 39 home runs and 69 runs.
