Knights Lose By a Run at Chicago, 5-4
|
The Chicago Machine did just enough to sneak past the New York Knights, 5-4, at Old Comiskey Park. Chicago right fielder Ash Deason, in particular, had a standout performance. The Knights, at 24-43, have lost 4 straight games.
Deason contributed in the bottom of the third. With the bases loaded, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one at-bat among others that helped Chicago get the win.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Deason told the Chicago Observer.
