Doug Terry put on a hitting clinic as the Minnesota Death Stars dumped the Newport News, 11-1, at Rickwood Field.

The Minnesota third baseman made Newport defenders earn their pay, lashing Newport pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Terry said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Doug Terry flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 6th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.

Thus far this year, Terry is batting .339 with 16 home runs, 39 RBIs and 42 runs scored.
