Cameron Gets 5 Hits
The Erie Jaxx stopped the Newport News by a score of 21-9 at Jerry Uht Park, with the lion's share of the credit going to center fielder Brody Cameron. The 20-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.

"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Cameron said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."

Cameron did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the News.

"Not much that I can say," offered Newport manager Augusto Baca. "He just hammered the heck out of us."

Brody Cameron hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and flied out in the 7th.

At present, Cameron is batting .308 with 120 hits and 24 home runs. He has knocked in 74 runs and scored 68 times.
