Thompson Spins 3-0 Shutout
|
West Virginia were shut out, 3-0, by Guy Thompson and the Washington Huskies at Husky Ballpark. The Mountaineers offered little resistance to Thompson, who stopped them on 5 hits, fanned 10 and walked 1.
"It just felt right today," the left-handed Thompson told reporters after the win. "Even with the rain, it didn't throw me off my rhythm."
