Kings Rally to Tally 3-1 Win
|
The Cleveland Fire could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Vicente Peña into a win. Instead, the Kansas City Kings prevailed, 3-1. Peña threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. With the win, the Kings sit at 38-32.
Jonathan Bowman cracked a home run off Joe Fahey in the bottom of the eighth. His 2-run blast put the Kings on top, 3-1. In all, Bowman had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 3.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Kansas City skipper Adrián León.
