The Dallas Steers beat the Montreal Royales, 6-4, at Olympic Stadium. The Steers got a fine performance from center fielder Brian Vandeusen, who went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Dallas reliever Seung-ook Im snagged the win, upping his record to 4-1. Jeffrey D'Angle shouldered the loss. At 31-39, the Steers find themselves in 6th place in the Heart Division.

Vandeusen had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a 1-2 fastball from Jeffrey D'Angle, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Steers a 6-4 lead. It was the 18th home run of the year for Vandeusen.

"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," Vandeusen said. "And the same is true when you lose."
