Traver Torches Seminoles for 5 Hits
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Howard Traver of the Penn State Nittany Lions had one of those moments when he went 5-for-7 at the plate today in the 17-4 win over the Florida State Seminoles at Mike Martin Field at Dick Howser Stadium.

"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 20-year-old first baseman told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."

Howard Traver singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Gene Singleton in the 4th, singled in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.
