Louisiana State right fielder Ken Barraclough added his name to the record books with a 6-hit spree at Baylor Ballpark, but found his special moment spoiled when the Baylor Bears took a shootout win, 15-10, over the Tigers.

"I would have much preferred getting only a couple of hits and winning the game," he confessed to reporters afterward. "It's hard to go back into the clubhouse and celebrate a 6-hit game when you also lost."

Tigers manager Carlos Martínez called Barraclough's game "a once-in-a-lifetime moment."

"It's a shame the guy can't really enjoy it," the skipper said. "It's also a shame what happened with our pitching, but at least that we can try to fix."

Ken Barraclough singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Paul Dirks in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
