St. Charles pitcher Chad O'Slattery did his part in helping his team beat the Long Island Ducks, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Alfred Molina was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 15 of 16 save opportunities. At 31-39, the Sheens claim 5th place in the Water Division.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Sheens had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when first baseman Thatcher Morse hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Dan Olson and made the score 3-1, Sheens. Morse was 1 for 2 with 2 walks.

St. Charles manager Kevin Bush commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
