Green Sox Come Up Short at Jersey Shore, 2-1
|
The Jersey Shore D-Bags got a magnificent effort from pitcher Leroy Page, who kept Lubbock hitters in check en route to a 2-1 D-Bags win at Revolutionary Park. Page, the winner, moves to 3-8. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 12 and giving up 2 walks. Jersey Shore has now won 3 straight, while the Green Sox have lost 5 in a row.
Bernaldin Gallino, the Jersey Shore third baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third inning to make the score 2-1, D-Bags. For the game, Gallino was 1-3.
"We'll hit the hot tub in good spirits tonight," said Page.
