Noise End Blackburn's Streak Tuesday, May 10th, 2039 It was a doubly miserable day today for Ernest Blackburn of the Maui Wave, as he saw his 21-game hitting streak end and his team lose 5-1 to the Nevada Noise at The Echo Chamber. The 27-year-old third baseman was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Noise. "Anyone on a 21-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Nevada manager Ben Allison said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." Thus far this year Blackburn has hit .311 with 8 home runs and 25 RBIs. |
