Abbott Slaps 5 Hits Friday, June 8th, 2035 Calrissian first baseman Tim Abbott had his way with Nashville pitching today at Gibson Guitar Park and mauled them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the G-Strings ruined his great day by toppling the Calrissian, 13-11. "I had a great day, but you've got to give Nashville credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits." "Oh, we noticed what Abbott did today," G-Strings skipper Luis García said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him." Tim Abbott hit a three-run home run off William Dixon in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jesús Sánchez in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
