Dustin Lynch Injured, Out for Season
Thursday, June 13th, 2041
The doctors have spoken and Dustin Lynch of the Mexico City Baseball Team didn't like what he heard. The 34-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Lynch sustained his season-ending injury during the Nashville G-Strings game yesterday at Gibson Guitar Park. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Mexico City medical staff reported Lynch had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 7 months.
So far this year Lynch has made 13 starts, tossed 75.1 innings, struck out 44 batters and walked 7. His record is 5-2 with a 3.94 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .223 batting average.
