Green Sox End Soto Streak Tuesday, June 10th , 2053 It was a doubly miserable day for Pablo Soto of the Orlando Calrissian, as he saw his 22-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 6-3, to the Lubbock Green Sox at Greener Pastures. The 30-year-old second baseman was held hitless in 3 at-bats by the Green Sox. "Anyone on a 22-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Lubbock manager Manolo Román said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." This season in 61 games, Soto is batting .311 with 7 home runs, 20 RBIs and has scored 42 times. |
