Hit Parade: Cook Pops 5 Hits Saturday, May 30th , 2054 All game long, Dallas's Eugene Cook was rattling the walls at Seabreeze Stadium and banging out base hits against the SoCal Blue Crew. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Steers had a win, 18-4. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 22-year-old shortstop said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Eugene Cook hit a solo-shot off Daniel Barnes in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, doubled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
