St Charles, Buffalo Close Deal Monday, July 11th , 2044 It came down to the last hour of a self-imposed trade deadline, but the St Charles Sheens and Buffalo Destroyers finally came to an agreement on a trade that had been rumored for weeks. The trade sends St Charles's 23-year old minor league SS Chris York and 20-year old minor league 3B Fred Thornton to Buffalo in a swap for 26-year old RHP Juan Ramírez. Both GMs seemed relieved that the deal had been completed with one stating, "We had to set a deadline to get it done." The players are expected to report to their new teams by tomorrow. His record this year is 2-8 in 16 starts and Ramírez has a 3.94 ERA. |
