BSA Rookie Star Shines Monday, June 1st , 2054 Juan Gómez's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young Greenville left fielder has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month. In May he was voted the Rookie of the Month. During the month he hit .373 with 9 doubles, no triples and 12 home runs. Gómez also scored 25 times and drove in 33 runs. Looking at his present stats, Gómez has compiled a .372 batting average in 49 games with a .397 on-base percentage, while hitting 16 home runs and driving in 43 runs. |
