Un-four-gettable: Baird Hits for Cycle Wednesday, July 27th , 2044 New York Knights center fielder Jake Baird hit for the cycle today, but his club still went home with their heads hung low. The Knights were upended 8-7 by the Austin River Sharks, despite the big 4-for-6 day from Baird "It was a good game for me," Baird said later. "I wish it could have been a good game for all of us." The Knights center fielder sparked the offense with a truly special performance, hitting 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to add his name to the record books. Baird also finished with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Jake Baird hit a two-run home run off Raúl Cruz in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th and tripled in the 11th.
