Conley Slams 3 Homers for Baysox Wednesday, June 28th , 2051 Randy Conley brutalized the Greenville 84's pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 16-6 victory at Michigan & Trumbull. The Charm City Baysox right fielder was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 3-for-4 with 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "Too much Randy Conley today," 84's manager Jim Dunbar said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Randy Conley hit a solo-shot off Lorenzo Cuevas in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Lorenzo Cuevas in the 3rd, walked in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Erin West in the 7th, walked in the 7th and flied out in the 9th. Currently Conley has 26 home runs and a .312 batting average. |
