Jones Cracks 5 Hits
Tuesday, August 24th, 2038
It was almost a perfect day for Vincent Jones.

The Orlando catcher displayed a hot bat today, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The Calrissian lost to the Montana Pandas, 21-17. Jones told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle."

Orlando manager Esteban Moreno told the beat writers otherwise.

"There was no luck today," he said. "He got 5 hits because he has a solid approach to hitting and he put it all together today, and we lost because the rest of us didn't put it together so well."

Vincent Jones singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Tom Maynard in the 7th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.

Thus far this season Jones is hitting .213 with 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and 14 runs scored. He has 35 hits in 164 at-bats and has played in 44 games.
