Cardans Blisters Montana
Wednesday, August 25th, 2038
After his 5-hit effort at Su Lin Memorial Park was tarnished by Orlando's 19-10 loss to the Montana Pandas, left fielder Máximo Cardans told BNN beat writers it was "a missed opportunity for a special day."
"It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college, two hits in a game is nice," he said. "I would have been happy to stop there if it meant we got a win."
He didn't get the win, but the 26-year-old had a spectacular 5-for-6 game against the Pandas.
"His swing is getting there," said Calrissian skipper Esteban Moreno after the game. "We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Máximo did that to perfection today and we wasted it."
Máximo Cardans singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, flied out in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
Cardans is hitting at a .316 mark this season. His stats show 1 home run, 15 RBIs and 20 runs scored. He has played 52 games for the Calrissian.
