3 Boomers for Archer Friday, August 4th , 2051 Joey Archer was sending souvenirs to the sun gods all game long in the 21-4 Seattle Admirals triumph at The Ship Yard today. The 28-year-old put on a show for fans, launching not one, not two, but three home runs into the stands and powering the Admirals past the Columbus Coalition. "One homer's good, two's great, three's out of sight," Archer told BNN reporters after the game. "I can't wait until next game. I really feel good at the plate." The center fielder went 3-for-5, rung up 5 RBIs and scored 4 runs on his record-setting day. Joey Archer hit a solo-shot off Mike Grant in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, walked in a run in the 4th, grounded out in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Dan Daley in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Ivar In de Boomgaert in the 8th. This season Archer has hit at a .265 clip with 64 RBIs, 27 home runs and 66 runs scored. He has played in 104 games. |
