North Stars Shut Out Sheens, Cummings Winner Saturday, August 5th , 2051 In an outstanding mound performance, Minnesota North Stars starter Brendon Cummings fired a complete-game shutout against the St. Charles Sheens at Crown Royal Stadium today. Cummings was the key to the North Stars's 5-0 win. The 22-year-old right-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 2 hits and 3 walks he allowed. "2 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout." This season Cummings has a 9-4 record with a 3.03 ERA.
