Salas Rips Nashville for 5 Hits
Monday, August 27th, 2035
Juan Salas put on a hitting clinic today as the San Jose Hawks dumped the Nashville G-Strings 16-3 at The Kallipolis.
The San Jose left fielder made Nashville defenders earn their pay, lashing Nashville pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Salas said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
Juan Salas hit an RBI double in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off José Soto in the 2nd, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th and singled in the 7th.
Salas is hitting .272 this year with 9 home runs and 46 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .310, 15 walks and scored 31 times.
