Buckley Collects Hit Number 2000 Wednesday, August 30th , 2051 Jersey Shore's Glenn Buckley entered the record books today as he collected hit number 2000 at Bronx Municipal Park. "I am proud of this. Not too many players reach this level. You have to be around quite a few years and you have to get a lot of hits," Buckley said after the game. On his milestone day he went 2 for 3 as the D-Bags won 6-4 over the New York Knights. Buckley has a lifetime .302 average with 2001 hits, 377 doubles, 15 triples, 392 home runs and 1303 RBIs to date.
