Admirals, Green Sox Confirm Swap Monday, July 27th , 2054 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Admirals announced today the acquisition of 24-year old 3B Jack Knoppert from the Lubbock Green Sox in exchange for a 4th round draft pick. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Admirals, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Lubbock will retain a portion of Knoppert's remaining contract. For the year, Knoppert is batting .253 with 14 home runs, 46 RBIs and 40 runs scored. |
