Big Day for Gaines: Swats 5 Hits Wednesday, September 21st , 2044 Victor Gaines had an answer for everything the Greenville 84's threw at him today at Michigan & Trumbull. The Kansas City right fielder went 5-for-6 in the game to put his name in the record book and put the Kings on top, 9-4. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Gaines said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Victor Gaines singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Alfredo Pérez in the 9th.
