Holloway Holds Jersey Shore Hitless
Friday, July 31st , 2054
Kansas City Kings starter Jason Holloway came up big at Berwick Yards with an exceptional 4-0 win against the Jersey Shore D-Bags. Not only did he whip them, but Holloway held them hitless, too.
"My arm was a bit sore in warmups," confessed Holloway. "Sometimes you go out there and you're not feeling all that hot. You get into the game and all of a sudden in the seventh inning you look up and see the scoreboard and think to yourself, 'Oh, my goodness, I have a no-hitter!' You're so focused on what you're doing, it just happens."
In the course of the no-hitter, Holloway collected 7 strikeouts and surrendered 4 walks -- a day good enough to get his name in the history books.
So far in 22 appearances this season, Holloway has recorded 10 wins and sustained 3 losses. He has pitched 120.1 innings, yielded 105 hits, fanned 108 and has a 4.19 ERA.
