Long Island Loses Angus Pankhurst, Will Miss Season Thursday, August 27th , 2054 Angus Pankhurst of the Ducks just might have to call it quits for the season. The 27-year-old Long Island reliever received a possible season-ending injury against the Charm City Baysox recently at The Ballpark at Sloss Furnace. Pankhurst suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch. The Ducks medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 16 months. During this season, Pankhurst has 51 relief appearances and registered 1 saves. Batters are hitting him at a .229 rate and his season record is 7-4 with a 3.97 ERA. He has logged 79.1 innings and struck out 74. |
