Eric Sullivan Bashes Three over the Wall Tuesday, September 8th , 2054 Eric Sullivan went yard three times in a Nashville G-Strings victory over the St. Louis Browns at Gateway Stadium. "I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit." For the day, the Nashville first baseman went 4-for-5 against St. Louis with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the G-Strings to the 13-1 win. "I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out." Eric Sullivan flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off José Ventura in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Eddie Baker in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Darryl Corrigan in the 7th and doubled in the 9th. A look at his season totals shows Sullivan with 47 home runs, .309 BA, .429 OBP, 144 RBIs and 115 runs scored. |
