Season Over for Ramón López in Seattle
Sunday, September 24th , 2051
Seattle reliever Ramón López could miss the remainder of the season because of a herniated disc. He exited yesterday's Yonkers game after injuring himself while throwing a pitch. The original diagnosis said López would be out 2 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that."

This season López is 3-and-2 with 11 saves and a 3.53 ERA. He has given up 52 hits in 63.2 innings with 78 strikeouts.
