No Late-Season Magic Coming: Minnesota Out of Playoffs Sunday, October 1st , 2051 Heartbreaking. Agonizing. Devastating. They were all words being used by the Minnesota North Stars after today being mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. "It stings to come this close but come up short," said manager Florêncio Grandela. The North Stars have missed the playoffs 41 times in their 45 years as a Baseball Stars Association franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 5th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2046. In the last 10 seasons, the North Stars have only made the playoffs once. |
