Charlie Jones Rockets 3 Home Runs

Charlie Jones of the Phoenix Firebirds had a lot to celebrate in today's 9-7 win over the Dallas Steers after pounding a trio of home runs at Seabreeze Stadium.
"I'm just closing my eyes and swinging as hard as I can," he joked with reporters after the game. "It worked well today."
The powerful Phoenix first baseman tagged 4 hits in 6 at-bats, drove in 4 runs and scored 3 times in his three-homer outburst.
"We talked about changing our strategy for the third one, and then he went and hit another homer," Dallas manager Mike Moore said. "We just couldn't get him out."
Charlie Jones struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Dan Valéncia in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Dan Valéncia in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Scott Jeffries in the 6th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
Currently Jones is batting .282 with 158 hits and 37 home runs. He has knocked in 108 runs and scored 86 times.
