Curtis Hits in 20 Straight Games Saturday, September 26th , 2054 The streak is alive and well -- at least for today. Bryan Curtis did it again, bashing 2 hits in the contest at Old Comiskey Park. For the last 20 games in a row, the 29-year-old third baseman has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Orlando Calrissian beat the Chicago Machine, 8-5. "I'm happy I kept the streak going," Curtis told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Orlando clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Bryan Curtis singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 9th. This season, Curtis has hit 28 home runs and posted a .273 batting average. |
