Nevada-Columbus Trade: Chávez for Conway Tuesday, December 4th, 2035 The Baseball News Network is reporting that the Noise and Coalition have consummated a trade. Columbus will receive 18-year-old minor league RHP José Martínez, 21-year-old minor league RHP Tony Cabrera, 24-year-old minor league RHP Ángel Fernández, 23-year-old minor league 1B Vince Scovell and 24-year-old minor league RHP Ismael Chávez in a swap for 27-year-old 3B John Conway. A league analyst called the trade a "fairly even transaction." In his career Chávez has totaled 4 victories and 11 defeats with a 4.80 ERA. The 24-year-old hurler also has struck out 89 batters in 131.1 innings and surrendered 144 hits. Conway is batting .292 lifetime with 539 hits, 103 doubles, 2 triples, 94 home runs, 332 RBIs to date. He has also scored 276 runs. |
