Rowland Hits in 20 Straight Games Saturday, September 25th , 2055 Claude Rowland has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The St. Louis right fielder picked up 2 more today against the Orlando Calrissian and now has a 20-game hitting streak. The Browns won the game, 8-3. "Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." Claude Rowland hit a three-run home run off David Escobedo in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th and flied out in the 9th. So far this year, Rowland is hitting .311 with 37 home runs. |
