Vista Stops Lord Hit Streak Saturday, September 25th , 2055 The Vista Panthers clamped down on Bob Lord and put a stop to his hit streak. He went without a hit, ending the run at 31 straight games, but it didn't keep the G-Strings from winning. Nashville downed the Panthers, 5-0. "It was bound to happen," Lord said with a shrug after the game. This season, Lord has worked 208.2 innings with 238 strikeouts en route to a 17-6 record and a 4.01 ERA. |
