Chappell Booms 300th Homer

It was a historic day in the life of Jonathon Chappell. The 33-year-old Fresno shortstop recorded the 300th homer of his career in the Pharaohs 8-4 triumph over the San Francisco Seals.
In the clubhouse after the game, Chappell told BNN, "I was just looking for a ball to drive, and I got one."
In his career, Chappell has played in 1195 games with a .262 batting average. Among his 1132 hits are 117 doubles, 20 triples and 300 home runs. He has also scored 657 runs and driven in 761 runs.
