Rowland Boosts Hit Streak to 25 Games Friday, October 1st , 2055 Claude Rowland of the St. Louis Browns has now hit safely in 25 straight games. He socked 2 hits in today's 5-2 triumph over Vista at Prohibition Brewing Co Stadium. "25 games is a big chunk of the year, isn't it?" Rowland said to reporters. "It's hard to wrap your head around." Claude Rowland singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Héctor Sánchez in the 7th, walked in the 8th and struck out in the 10th. This year, Rowland has collected a .318 batting average to date with 190 hits in 598 at-bats, 119 RBIs, 41 home runs and scored 109 times. He has played in 153 games. |
