Zoffoli Pounds 3 HR Sunday, April 26th , 2054 The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Tony Zoffoli did at Seals Stadium, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 9-4. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Zoffoli said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The San Francisco Seals first baseman blistered the Columbus Coalition for 3 hits, batted in 7 runs and scored 3 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Columbus manager Courtnay Beck said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Tony Zoffoli hit a three-run home run off Yujiro Yoshikawa in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Yujiro Yoshikawa in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Mark Cottingham in the 8th. So far this year, Zoffoli is batting .348 with 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and 4 runs scored. |
