Mauro Ortíz Hurt, Will Miss Rest of Year Saturday, April 16th, 2039 Mauro Ortíz will soon find out from his doctors if his season will continue. The first diagnosis was not too positive and indicated the Houston reliever could miss the remainder of the year. Ortíz was injured while throwing a pitch in the Eagles-84's clash at Eagles Park recently. Doctors said he has a torn rotator cuff and would be out a minimum of 13-14 months. This year Ortíz has earned 2 saves, worked 8.2 innings, fanned 9 hitters and recorded a 2.08 ERA. He has also put up a 0-0 won-lost mark. |
