Mansur Smacks 3 Out of the Park
Sunday, May 11th , 2053
It was a day for the record books for Mile High Broncos left fielder Randy Mansur, who walloped three out of Mile High Field against the Vipers. However, not even a three-homer game could prevent the Vipers from getting the 11-10 victory.
"We threw some good pitches and they hit 'em, and we made some bad pitches and they hit 'em. That's a good strategy for losing ballgames," Mile High skipper Rob Lucas joked after the loss.
Mansur still had a few opportunities to celebrate along the way. He was 3-for-4 for the day, batting in 5 runs and scoring 3 times.
"I never, ever thought I would hit three home runs," Mansur said. "I hit three home runs once when I was 12 in Little League and I thought that was going to be the last time."
Randy Mansur struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Steven LeMay in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Brian Raymond in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Mitchell Hedberg in the 9th.
This season, Mansur has hit at a .314 clip and produced 26 runs batted in, 14 home runs and 21 runs.
